“When I discovered the way textiles can change the atmosphere in a space, it all made sense to me. Making curtains has become my way of translating different moods, emotions and seasons. Of nature and in life.”

Freja Løwe founded her textile studio while studying a BA in sustainable fashion design in Copenhagen. She never imagined herself contributing to the fast paced fashion industry, so she traveled to Bali, Indonesia to pursue a slower and more authentic way of creating textiles.

An experimental approach has led to years of working with plants and natural dyes as her primary medium. Finding her own aesthetic expression through colours.

A love for the handmade and unique has been the driving force that led her to start creating bespoke patchwork curtains for homes and commercial spaces worldwide.

The studio has been based in Copenhagen until spring 2024, where Freja and her partner bought a house in the forest on their favourite Danish island, Bornholm.

Living in close connection with nature has paved the way for a new aesthetic direction, and Freja’s vision is to create aesthetically sustainable designs, made to last.
